At Ontic we have been sustaining legacy aircraft for over 45 years and as a business, we have focused on OEM manufacturing and MRO of platforms such as; Hawk, Sea King, CH-53, and AV-8B within our military portfolio and Airbus A320, Boeing 737, 757 & 777 in our civil capabilities.  Once thing we have not focused on, until recently, is how we convey the effort and passion that goes into sustaining these platforms.

The founders of the organisation, which sold Ontic to BBA Aviation over 13 years ago, did not believe in the need for sales and marketing; this was mostly down to our business model of selecting product IP to license or acquire that does not have competition.  Therefore the thinking went that the customer always knew they had to come to Ontic for their parts.  However, as the portfolio has grown, product lines have had more and varied source of competition, which means not all uses of all of our product lines are know to Ontic or know who Ontic is.

With this reality now in focus, we have kicked off a project to create content about our business, our sites, our product lines, and our capabilities.  We are creating content across our sites, around the globe and will be releasing a series of videos and informative brochures to convey not only everything we do but also what we are about.

In the past weeks Ontic has engaged with, award winning, commercial photographer Tima Wallace of AmbientLife to create a series of images using iconic British aircraft BAE T.1 XX154 the first-ever flying example of the training aircraft.  Special thansk go to Chris Hogson who owns the aircraft, located at  BDAC having given us full support and access to this amazingly preserved aircraft.

As part of the ongoing programme Ontic will be creating similar content with other iconic aircraft, supported by the Ontic teams across the globe.
